Hello friends! My name is Anna and I'm a self-taught artist based in the Baltimore, MD/Washington D.C. area. Aside from a few basic classes during my school years, the majority of the skills I have acquired and put towards my artwork are entirely self-taught through trial and error, but more importantly, through practice and always looking to improve! After years of not creating art, I finally rediscovered my passion by letting go of my preconceived notions of what "good" art is. I came to realize that when in your own creative space, the only opinions that matter are your own. I began to experiment with my style and I had never even touched oil paints before a few years ago (I now consider it to be my medium of choice!). In my experience, a lot of the art that the average person would say is "good" tends to be very realistic, like "are you sure that's not a photograph?" realistic. I paint how I see things in my mind or how I wish things could be in real life, not exactly how they're supposed to be. I hope you enjoy my work and I'm so glad to be able to share a piece of myself with you :)
